The Final Eliminator

The IRTPA are delighted to announce that the Final Eliminator will be hosted by The Tuxedo Club over the Challenge format of the best of 13 sets.

The days of play will be Thursday 18th March at 20:00 (4 sets)

Saturday 20th March at 16:00 (4 sets)

Sunday 21st March 13:00 (a possible 5 sets)

For those of you who are au fait with the Championship format you will see that there is no day’s rest between the second and third day’s play.  The IRTPA have in consultation with the possible 4 players agreed to this.

Having the Final Eliminator hosted by one club very much encompasses the IWCC’s desire for the final eliminator to be held over the Challenge format.

The Tuxedo Club is over 125 years old and has never hosted a match of this importance.  By being the hosts for this event it gives the club’s membership and visitors the opportunity to view tennis at the highest level.
