Profile

Brett was born in Melbourne, but was brought up in country Victoria. He studied Physical Education at the University of Ballarat and was employed as a Squash and Real Tennis Trainee Professional at the Royal Melbourne Tennis Club in 1990. During the next 8 years, Brett was involved in job exchange programs at the Hobart Tennis Club where he worked and trained for 6 weeks with Rob Fahey and also at the Royal Tennis Court where he worked with Chris Ronaldson for 4 months. Brett has been a semi-finalist in the British Open Under 24's and in 1994 won the Ballarat Silver Racquet. He has competed in many International and domestic events and achieved a best handicap of +2. In 1997, Brett took up the position of Head Professional at the Ballarat Tennis Club where he has worked for the last 7 years. In recent times, he has also been contracted to give lessons at the Cope-Williams Real Tennis Club in Romsey, Victoria.
