Profile

David’s sporting achievements are numerous. His major competitive sport as a junior was squash. Throughout his teens he represented Durham and Cleveland and the Northern Area at every junior level winning the U12, U16 and U19 County Championships. In the U19 age group he was ranked 4 in England and 9 in Europe, later playing in Australia for British Universities. Senior County Champion in 2001 and 2003, he was ranked No. 1 for Cambridge University (2000 – 2004) and earned 4 blues.

David went up to Cambridge to study Anglo Saxon Norse and Celtic. After his degree he continued in the same subject earning an MPhil and he is now working for his PhD. It was at Cambridge the he first took up Tennis seriously, and very quickly became their No. 1. He has earned 3 blues, reached the semi finals of the British U24’s and the British Amateur and the Quarter Finals of the French and British Open Championships.
