Profile
Frank lived beside the Royal Melbourne Tennis Club from the age of seven and soccer distracted him until he joined the staff at the club and became a real tennis professional January 1989. In 1999 Frankie started as the first head professional at the new court at the University of Middlesex. He is now taking a sabbatical from tennis and is returning to Australia with his wife Lisa. In 2005, Frankie was tempted back into tennis and took up the senior position at the RMTC Although the only Open he has won was in Australia in 1995, he reached the final of the French Open in 1993 and 1997 and the Australian Open in 1997; and won the British Open Doubles in 1995. In 1999 Frankie lost in the quarter-final of the Dresdner Kleinwort Benson tournament but, in the same year, only narrowly lost to the World Champion in the final of the Australian Open at the new court in Sydney. In January 2000, he won the Professional Doubles partnering James Male.
