Spike was first introduced to tennis at Canford School and given his first lesson by the only and only Adam Phillips in 1990, aged 14!
He started to play tennis 'serioiusly' when he reached the 6th form but while up at Oxford University he was a world ranked top ten player.
Working now for IP21PO plc helping to commercialise technology from UK Universities, Spike still manages to get on court, but probably not as much as he would like.
For the 2005/2006 season he is playing in the Premier Division of the National League as one of the Royal Tennis Court team. |
