| Josh began playing court tennis when he was 20 years old and turned pro when he was 23. A former division 1 college tennis player, Bainton was hooked once he started playing the game under former Professional George Wharton. He started professionally with Tim Chisholm at the Racquet and Tennis Club in New York. After 18 months he took over for Wharton in Newport as the Head Professional at the National Tennis Club where he spent 2 years. In those 2 short years at The National Tennis Club, Josh took on the challenge of a $350,000 club expansion and was an intricate part of running the 2004 Daniel Chapter One Real Tennis World Championship which boasts the largest purse ever seen in Court Tennis: $82,500. After a couple of years on Wall Street Josh has joined his family's business; PDQ Printing and Design who is one of the Patron Sponsors of the 2007 Roberto Coin Court Tennis World Doubles Championship. |
