Profile

Phil began his career as a real tennis player at the Royal Tennis Court where his close friendship with Ivan Ronaldson began. When Ivan became Head Pro at Prested Hall in 2002, Phil soon turned Professional and became his assistant.
Phil is an excellent communicator and this is eveidenced in the popularity of his coaching - he'll try anything to get the message across and that makes for some very entertaining lessons!
In June 2005 Ivan took over as Head Professional at Prince’s Court in Washington DC and invited Phil over for 3 months to help him set up. The members like Phil so much they ended up creating a position for him and he is very happily still in the States.
His fantastic footballing skills interfere with his tennis, however his determined efforts are paying off and he is now down to handicap sub 20 and has won a category B doubles tournament in Newport Rhode Island.
His lifelong dream is to see Real Tennis back as a popular sport and on TV. This is because he fancies himself as TV star and he assures us the ladies think so too!!!
