Assistant Professional Position

The successful candidate would start sometime between May and December 2017. Compensation package is negotiable. Interviews will be conducted over Skype/FaceTime

The assistant professional will report to the Head Professional, Ivan Ronaldson, and provide support for all day-to-day needs of the club including teaching court tennis, record keeping and billing, partner-matching, administering club/national/ international tournaments and events, stringing racquets, and making/tying/sewing balls. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and an outgoing, friendly manner. S/he will possess outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle many tasks at once.

Primary responsibilities

  • Publicizing, marketing and executing Court Tennis events
  • Marketing Court Tennis participation to members
  • Managing and administering various internal initiatives and programs
  • Coaching and maintaining a loyal customer base
  • Arranging informal matches and tournament matches
  • Providing responsive communications to members on a daily basis
  • Daily equipment management, including stringing racquets and all aspects of ball production
  • Playing in the parent club’s Tennis/Squash leagues with a mind to encouraging racket sport enthusiasts to play Real Tennis. (The applicant’s current skill level in these sports is not important)
