Champions Trophy 2018

Published on: Jun 21, 2018

18th – 22nd July 2018

Venue:  The Royal Tennis Court

The draw for this event is below.  Now!  There is a difference as you will see in that you might lose a match but you can still progress in the tournament.  The top 6 players who have entered qualify automatically and there is a round robin qualification event between the 4 next best players.  Two of these players qualify for the main event.

The IRTPA will not be able to update this draw as it is not a normal ‘ladder’ but will update with images of the draw when received.

Draw as at Thursday 19th July

There was a qualifying event with 4 players over a round robin format.  The players were Darren Long, John Lumley, Matthieu Sarlangue and Tom Durack.  Two of these players would progress to the main draw.  John Lumley won all 3 of his matches and Matthieu Sarlangue won 2 of his 3 matches.  In the main draw John Lumley defeated Kieran Booth, and Kieran is now ‘out of the tournament’.  Matthieu Sarlangue was defeated by Nick Howell and he too is ‘out of the tournament’.  Nick progresses to play Ben Taylor-Matthews and John progresses to play Chris Chapman.  Camden Riviere won his match against Chris Chapman and moves into the semi final and Rob Fahey defeated Ben Taylor-Matthews and moves also to the semi final.
