Claire Fahey Wins 8th WC Title

Claire Fahey continues her total dominance of the ladies game when defending her world championship title yesterday in Newport.  The title was first won by Claire in 2011 and she has now defended it seven times.  (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023).

Her challenger for the 3rd consecutive time was Lea Van de Zwalmen.  This match was a ‘first’ in that it was to be played over the best of 5 six game sets.  Claire retained her title in 3 sets 6/0 6/2 6/0
