MFO Summer Challenge

The MFO Inaugural Event
This tournament held over 3 weeks was for the by the best 12 handicap club professionals in the U.K.. The event was played off half handicap over the best of 3 set matches until the final which was played over the best of 5 sets.
All the matches were competitive, with some very close matches which could have swung either way.
The final was between Moreton’s Head Professional, Darren Long and Prested’s Assistant Professional Vaughan Hamilton who is perhaps the first player to not be able to put the breaks on and found himself summersaulting over the net in pursuit of the ball!
The final was won by Vaughan Hamilton winning 3/6 6/3 6/3 6/3.
