The world champion, Rob Fahey, defends his title for the twelfth time
The National Tennis Club, Newport, Rhode Island
The week’s activities commence on Monday 16th May with the matches being played on Tuesday 17th, Thursday 19th and Saturday 21st May
Social Events:
On the court: A Pro Am, limited to 6 amateurs and a Handicap Doubles, limited to 16 pairs will run from Monday 16th May through to Friday 20th May.
On the Fairways: A golf day at the Newport Country Club, limited to 5 foursomes is being held on Friday 20th May.
On the Sea: Four teams from various parts of the world, that means YOU, will compete for the NTC’s version of Louis Vuitton Cup in classic 12 meter yachts. The winning yacht is rewarded with a free lunch at the expense of the losers at Clarke Cook House on Bowman’s Wharf after racing.
Opening Cocktail Party: Being held at the magnificent International Hall of Fame on Monday 16th May.
The Legends Match: The USCTA hosts a reception during this match of past world champions and two leading US amateur players on Wednesday 18th May.
The Championship Dinner: The culmination to the week being held at the simply sumptuous Ochre Court on Saturday 21st May
Accommodation:
The club have secured a block of rooms at a discounted rate with the Marriott. This discounted rate is available until the 1st April 2016, thereafter the standard rate will apply.
