World Challenge – 2nd Day

Published on: Sep 20, 2023

The most extraordinary turn around happened tonight.  After the first four sets on day one with Camden Riviere winning the four sets many thought the challenge could be completed on the second day.  How wrong they were.

The score on the second day had John Lumley winning 3/1.  The set scores were 6/4 3/6 6/5 6/5.  The atmosphere was loud, very loud – peoples Apple watches were sending out warning of possible ear damage – it was some of the most exciting tennis to watch which was enhanced by the passion of the side gallery spectators.  So often we see tennis in a sterile silent environment but world challenges have  been different, thank goodness,  and this one is no exception.

Thursday is going to be very interesting indeed.  The match starts at 13:00EST.
